What's my story?
My name is Gina Evangelista, and my journey has been shaped by a lifetime of health challenges. From childhood through adulthood, I experienced a series of illnesses that tested my resilience.

At one point, I developed painful boils all over my body and suffered paralysis from the waist down due to an allergic reaction to antibiotics. Migraines were a regular occurrence, forcing me to rely on extra-strength painkillers. I battled sore eyes for two weeks, only to return to school for a single day before hepatitis kept me home for another month. Chronic throat infections eventually led to a tonsillectomy. A cyst in my right ovary resulted in the removal of that ovary. And then came the toughest battle—Stage IIIC Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, requiring six rounds of chemotherapy and thirty-three radiation sessions.

Needless to say, my medical history has been quite the adventure.

After overcoming cancer, I embraced a more natural approach to wellness, turning to Young Living essential oils in early 2016—a decision I’ve never regretted. When the pandemic struck in 2020, I seized the opportunity to deepen my knowledge, earning my Aromatherapy Certification from the New York Institute of Aromatherapy. Essential oils became an integral part of my family’s wellness journey, complementing our efforts in nutrition, movement, mental health, and meaningful connections.

Currently, I’m working toward my Level 2 Aromatherapy Certification while expanding my expertise in holistic practices such as meditation and mindfulness. As a way of giving back, I share my passion for wellness and holistic well-being with fellow cancer warriors and anyone looking to prioritize their health. I am proud to be part of a vibrant community of aromatherapists, educators, and wellness advocates that has been quite fulfilling.
